About Blaze Institute
Blaze Institute™ FinTech Hackathon Sprint is a 2-hour, instructor-ready experience designed to introduce K–12 students to how money moves—and how to think critically about financial systems through hands-on creation. Using guided prompts and structured activities, students work in teams to design and pitch fintech solutions grounded in real-world financial challenges. The sprint emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and early exposure to financial systems, while maintaining a clear and supportive framework for educators. Designed for classrooms, workshops, and community programs, this experience enables educators to facilitate a high-impact learning session with minimal preparation. As part of the Blaze Institute™ teaching suite, the Hackathon Sprint serves as an early-stage entry point into the broader Equitable Finance Curriculum.
